Standard rates and conditions apply to all of our holiday apartments.
The standard occupancy is always based on 2 guests. Additional guests (both children and adults) can be accommodated for an extra charge.
Please note: Our "Theodor Degener" apartment is currently limited to a maximum of 3 guests (+ 1 baby/toddler).
Terms & Conditions
Base Occupancy
Nightly Rate (up to 2 guests): €80.00 / night
Standard rate per night for the exclusive use of the entire, fully furnished holiday apartment.
Additional Guests & Options
Babies & Toddlers (up to 2 years): Free of charge
The stay for our youngest guests is completely free of charge per night.
Optional Baby Cot: €10.00 (one-time fee)
Flat fee for providing a baby cot, including fresh, matching bed linen.
Children & Teenagers (3 to 16 years): €15.00 / night per child
Applies per child and night in the separate children's room (the bunk bed offers 2 full-size beds, ideal for children aged 3 to 16).
Additional Guests / Adults: €20.00 / night per person
Applies per night and person for additional guests sleeping on the comfortable, pull-out sofa bed in the living room (up to 2 extra beds).
Additional Costs & Minimum Stay
Final Cleaning: €85.00 (one-time fee)
One-time flat fee for the final cleaning of the apartment.
Minimum Stay: 3 nights
Our regular minimum booking duration is 3 nights. Shorter stays are available upon request.
Short-Stay Surcharge (for 1 to 2 nights): €60.00 (one-time fee)
Shorter stays are only available upon request.
All-Inclusive Services
The price includes everything you need for a worry-free start to your vacation:
- Bed linen & towel set per person
- Kitchen starter kit (dish towel, sponge, dish soap & dishwasher tabs)
- Private parking space right at the house
- Free Wi-Fi access
- All utility costs (electricity, water, heating)
Tourist Tax & Digital Guest Card
The city of Wernigerode charges a statutory tourist tax (Kurbeitrag) per night.
The following tourist tax rates currently apply in Wernigerode:
- Adults: €3.50 / night
- Children & Teenagers (6–17 years): €1.75 / night
- Children up to 5 years: Free of charge
Please note: This tax is billed separately.
In return, after booking and paying your tourist tax, you will receive a digital guest card directly on your smartphone. A practical companion for exclusive benefits and discounts in the region:
- Free bus rides throughout the entire Harz district (HATIX ticket)
- Discounts on admission to museums, leisure facilities, guided city tours, and cultural events in Wernigerode and Schierke.
Important Information regarding German Pricing Regulations (PAngV):
To comply with legal requirements, all mandatory final costs (such as the final cleaning fee) must be included in the price shown for the first night. For your booking, this means completely transparent final prices right from the very first night (based on the standard occupancy of 2 guests):
- Standard Stay (3 nights or more): The 1st night is €165.00 (includes the €85.00 final cleaning fee), each additional night is €80.00.
- Short Stay (1–2 nights): The 1st night is €225.00 (includes the €85.00 final cleaning fee & the €60.00 short-stay surcharge), each additional night is €80.00.
Cancellation Policy & Important Booking Information
Plans can change – we completely understand. If you need to cancel your stay in one of our HerzZeit - Harz holiday apartments, please let us know as early as possible.
The following cancellation terms apply to HerzZeit - Harz:
- Up to 30 days before planned arrival: Cancellation is free of charge.
- 30 to 14 days before planned arrival: 50% of the agreed total price will be charged.
- 13 days or fewer before planned arrival (or in case of a no-show): 90% of the agreed total price will be charged.
Please note: In accordance with German law (§ 312g para. 2 no. 9 BGB), there is no statutory right of withdrawal (cooling-off period) for contracts concerning the provision of accommodation on specific dates. Bookings are therefore legally binding.
To protect yourself against unexpected costs due to illness or other emergencies, we highly recommend purchasing private travel cancellation insurance.
